I got two 12 week old chickies with fat hard crops. They won't fly at all like they use to & feel skinny & light wieght, BUT they still run around a lot & are still energetic. They still poo, which looks normal, they still eat & drink water. It's just that their crops haven't srunk down like they normally do.

I tried massaging their crops after reading about impacted crops here. Their crops started to feel a little softer afterward. Anything else I should do other than giving them apple cider or olive oil. Could something else be at cause? I'm worried

Take the feed away and see if the crops go down. If they do, good. Seems odd that they would have a problem and still be elliminating normally. Ceck it out and tell us more tomorrow........Pop

Came home from work to empty crops. Both chickies are doing better & starting to regain their limited flight. It looks like the massage therapy worked. Their crops got a lot softer after a couple hrs of massaging. Man they pooed like they never pooed before too. There was like 5 times the amount of normal poo. I guess that's what happens when it all comes out at once.
