I got two faverolles from a market
Obviously not the best examples,
They are salmon but ones much darker
The darker One has toes that curl up behind its leg
And an very broad knobbly comb
Any ideas why and if it will grow properly?

Neither of them appear to be purebred Salmon Faverolles, since they do not have single combs--they almost appear to have a walnut/pea type comb. The toe curling back up the leg is normal for the breed; a pure Faverolle should have that extra toe. The strange comb will not turn into a regular single comb.

Oh, and in case you are wondering why they are different colors, it is because they are different sexes. The dark one is a cockerel, and the light one is a pullet.

Oh my goodness
So not only are they NOT pure breed faverolles
They are NOT two hens either!
False advertising ; )
Well they are still amazing sweet chickens
Looking forward to then growing and developing their characters

Thank you so much for the reply x

PS its now going to be Freda and Bill
After my aunt and uncle !
