Faverolles Thread

Faverolles are hard to breed. People have a lot of really poor quality birds out there. Ugly washed out faverolles. She could have been a recessive white bird from salmon breeding. They often look like your describing. White with salmonly leakage. Most faverolles out there won't look like the ones you see on this thread.

Congrats Henry! Nice bunch of girls ya got there, good luck with the spring hatching....

Announcement time folks!

The club will be offering car window decals very soon! They are being printed as we speak! These have a UV / scratch resistant overlay on them, so they should last a good long while, and they are 5" x 5". They will be round-cut, so without the big square background, they will look like this:

They will be $5 each, plus shipping. (I have to price the right size envelopes before I can give exact shipping costs).
Beautiful ! ! ! Yes i too want one when available and will watch here for information unless you have one by Friday

Speaking of shows and Nationals...I need site suggestions for next years Eastern and Western Nationals...I have had one suggestion for the Eastern so far.

I will be sending out ballots in about a month so people can vote on next year's shows, and a couple other things.... :)

PM or email me with suggestions please, if you are a club member...
In my backyard VBG, seriously, wonder who was the farthest attendee in each direction from the last one....??? and who may have come had it been adjusted one way or another? eliz

How does Stevenson compare with the grounds where OFFF was held?

(Please excuse the messy run - I swear I just swept like two days ago!)

No worries. Based on what I've seen in my coop, it could have been 2 minutes ago and still look like that. Walk, poop, walk, throw a feather, scratch, poop and toss another feather. It is never ending!

Pretty birds!

Just an update on my faverolles. The green egg laying batch turned out to be egg eaters so they were all culled. We got some chicks from Murray McMurray this spring and also got some eggs from Cloverleaf. We got 1 pullet out of the eggs from Jeanine and the faverolles from the hatchery are pretty bad compared to normal. One pullet looks pretty good as far as color goes, just some flecking in the beard and is darker red on the back but here's the thing with her- she is pretty much rumpless. She has 1 black tail feather coming in with no sign of any more. Her rump looks like an araucana with a bug fluffy rump, I kinda like it.
We're planning on getting a cockerel from Jeanine at the Salem show

Speaking of rumpless Favs.

I have a couple Aruacana/Fav cockerels. I most likely will not keep them. They are so adorable. They have the extra toe just minus the hairy legs.

I just had to share a couple pics of my pure Fav boy I have growing up. I am kinda excited about him. He liked getting his photo taken.

I like your rumpless boys! My fav boys also love their picture taken and will stop to pose for the camera. I got a pretty turken/fav cross here. :)

It is official... I HATE Salmon Faverolles!

Especially Jeremy's male that just won Grand Champion of Show!

It's one he bought at Ozark, Arkansas.
Okay, didn't know just how far behind I was because I am working overtime lately!!

Got a text from Jeremy's mom who informed me of such!

Don't want to brag, but I hatched and raised that beautiful boy before they purchased him!!! Don't be a hater
