Faverolles Thread

I am curious if they will be colored or plain white. They're a pale yellow with a dark yellow place on the top of their heads they look like twins they are cute. The 6 I got together are so young and tiny they're actually the most people friendly of my bantam chicks
White Faverolles are very rare, which is why I asked why you thought they would be white. Salmon is much, much more common. Salmon chicks are yellow in color.

Ok that's neat to know I guess I lucked up with these 2. I was assumed they would be white since they are yellow chicks. They barely have feathering on wings that so far is white.

I like feather legged bantams that's what most of mine are. This is my first time raising chicks. I've been handling them daily hopefully they will be friendly with me when they're older I check each chick to make sure there vents are clean make sure nobody is injured. My spoiled ducklings get jealous when I'm not handling them they raise up and watch me and call for me they will grab a pant leg to get my attention they want all the attention and affection

Finally found some pics of faverolle chicks had to leave off bantam in my search and yes these 2 little ones look like the salmon chicks, I wonder if there dark yellow spots on heads mean anything. I just assumed white chickens since they're yellow fuzz balls. They are doing better with the silkies since the egg tooth is gone from everyone. This was a young batch. I was supposed to have 6 different chicks on hold to be picked up little unknown chipmunk patterns because I bought one and it died that night, I was very disappointed I was lied to by tsc manager my chicks got gone and she didn't bother to call me back I drove all the way there expecting my chicks she assured me id get. But it seems I lucked up finding these 2 at a tsc. I looked over the few bantams left which weren't many, thought that these were D'Uccles I have one porcelain color thought they'd make a nice addition for it, I also saw how they were acting and was afraid it they didn't go with a big hearted animal lover like myself they may get disposed of for there bad manners. But they are doing a lot better with there buddies now, I have noticed they like to hang out together and are friendly to me, they will walk up to my hand and hop on. Most of my bantams are skiddish even with daily handling, I have 1 black un known roo, he's young but obviously a roo large comb (still yellow) holds his tail, what little he has so far lol, high up, struts around and is a bit bossy. But he's friendly to me, my others 2 silkies 3 unknown clean legged tend to run away from my hand, my D'Uccle is friendly and my 4 new silkies and 2 surprise faverolles are friendly to me really hope they stay this way. When my bantams are moved outside ill have to split them up into groups, for now they're together based on size and age. Funny I have had my roo 3 weeks and can already tell he's for sure male, there's no mistake with that personality. I've had my standard chicks almost 2 months and so far can only spot 2 roos really hope they're the only 2. I like bantams smaller size if all goes well and I have mostly hens ill keep these 2 with my silkies and D'Uccle, they seem to be the most laid back. I'm really looking forward to getting some standard ee pullets in a couple weeks found a local feed store not a tsc that's getting some in. I love there colors, and I really like chickens with the fluffy faces it makes them so cute, id love to find some bantam ee pullets too. I had found some at tsc and a guy rushed to get an employee snatched all of them after watching my husband and I pick 6 out he got all 25

These chicks are bantams? It will be interesting to see how they feather out. No hatchery has bantam Faverolles.

Yes they are bantams. They look identical to the google search I did. They have 5 toes but I know they cant be silkies they don't have black skin. They don't look like my cochin or my D'Uccle I think I have come across a good find in these 2. They're getting along a lot better with the silkies too and all 6 have taken up with me

TSC has been getting in some mystery bantams are yellow, have 5 toes and feathered legs. What color legs do yours have?

Right now they're yellow. But I had one bantam start off yellow legged then they turned green. From a pic search they look like faverolle chicks I saw a few hatcheries advertising bantam faverolles when I was looking for chick pics. They are very young barely any feathering and they still had egg tooth as did my newest silkies
