Faverolles Thread

They're here! I will post pictures later if I can, my son is sick with the latest school plague.

Ron said he was sending chicks, so I was expecting 3-4 month olds. They're at least 7 months old I would guess. Big enough to have adult plumage and the girls are laying but not old enough to have filled out yet.

What every its a beautiful sign and I am sure I will get some blue salmons back after a while. I can't wait to get the BBS flock and also the new salmons rooster. I am going to clean out the bator this weekend and set my first batch of split to lavender salmons.

OK, took me forever to get these pictures on here, I hope I do this right.
This is my boy, Biff or as my kids call him, Stitch (from Lilo and Stitch, Stitch says "Stitch not mean, Stitch fluffy")

These are Biff's beauties, Bertha and Martha. Bertha, the broody one, is in front. She got up to do her daily business and Martha hopped in to lay an egg and did not want to get out. Bertha is patiently waiting...She even craned her neck over Martha to make sure the eggs were tucked all the way under Martha, lol!!

i put most of my girls back outside for the warmer months!

i even put Apollo out there for a little bit while i cleaned out the quarantine pen and moved it into my breeding area for him to sleep there for the night-his girls are outside with everyone else. i'm planning on putting him outside full time once i get the landscaping done around the coop so it can help buffer any noises.

i REALLY need to keep an eye on Dottie. she sure likes to escape and does not like to get back into her area. she will either drive me to drink or kill me with her antics trying to chase her back into the coop/pen!

Well they sound like they are having a great time that girl has always been a trouble maker.

I just wondered if anyone else has a "rumpless" Faverolles? Here are a couple of pics of my 12 week old (from Melissa's eggs). He actually has a very nice beard but in these pics he's been out in the wet grass. I really like him except that he refuses to grow a tail!
