Leisha is right. I got him from Ron. I had bought several young birds off of him to see how they would mature. This is one of three I kept. The hens have good type but they are in awful conditon. They have been kept inside though at my parents place, so in the next day or so they are coming to my farm to get them outside.

Ok guys I am starting to learn more (thanks Cloverleaf!) I looked over my two pullets and 1 has 7 points on her little comb and the other has 5. Are the girls supposed to have 5 like the boys? Now other question, should I breed the one with 7 or just get rid of her? The one with 7 is darker through her beard and leg feathering BUT she is sweeter than the other one lol! Anyhoo I would like to breed at least one just to see what happens before I get some better quality girls! Thanks

yes, she has blue in her tail and wings! i put her in with Apollo my blue salmon boy and Buffbeauty just got some eggs from that pen. so i am hoping to see those chicks when they hatch!

I'd use her just to see what you're going to get...her comb might improve on Mossy's comb. At least she only has 7, and she's not one of those that looks like a saw blade!

She is a dark hen almost looks like a blue mahogany if there is such a thing.HA

Bummer news... none of the eggs from my Splash and Black LF hens made it to lockdown. So, I guess it's on to plan B.
The good news is that they are getting along great with the rest of the flock
