And I took new pics of my Fav roo and cockerel that are in my breeding pen...

The rooster...actually, I guess technically he isn't a "rooster" until March, but he is really filling out...

Beautiful boys!

I'm going to be mailing you a check for eggs on Monday! Now I just have to wait for a hen or two to go broody!

You know, Kathleen, unless you have your heart set on your hens raising your babies, we could do chicks instead...

Well, actually, I'd just as soon have chicks! When do you think you'd have some (enough to sell a few)?

thanks! Yeah, the cockerel is my favorite, both in personality and looks! I almost sold him as a youngster!! I'm SSSSOOOOOOO glad I didn't!!

Yeah, he's ALMOST clear - he does have a little of the brown in his saddle feathers, but you have to look for it. The rooster that covers my layer flock is completely clear, and he is really handsome, but he isn't half the rooster either of these two are, as far as breeder quality goes (he has been shown locally, and everyone loved him though!).

Glad you love him I want to see what the cockeral I should get next week is like hopefully he is sweet to. Now that the favs have moved into the LF coop they have started to recognize me more then they did when I was the big monster that came into their little tractor and grabbed them

Now I can pet the hens and roo and they will come running when I go into the shed to get scratch for them they are goofy little birds. Well I am going to get 2 or 3 eggs today so I should be able to do a dozen or 6 sometime this week if anyone is interested.
