I wish one of them would give me some eggs! Between molting girls and broodies I'm getting next to nothing. I hate to buy eggs!

I will say the broodies are getting a better gender ratio than I did. Two hens hatched out 4 chicks, 3 of which are pullets. I hatched out 2 cockerels for every pullet.

These are all from eggs I got from Dick last year. I can see why Peter waits until they're 2. They've filled out/feathered in so much more the past 6 months.

So any pictures of the big show???

So busy today I didn't get any pictures. Pictures tomorrow. Leisha's birds did awesome. Janice's were gorgeous. Judge didn't think much of my pulleys, but I'm learning. One of my cockerels did get 2nd in the cockerel class of 9 birds. The first place going to Rose Isgrig. He also won best of breed

Oh please, someone tell me my babies are pretty!!!!!!

They are my babies and I think they are pretty. I sure hope I am not the only ones.

Are you looking for someone to tell you they're SQ? Well, that's a tough thing to do via pictures, even for experienced breeders. I'm new to Favs and have a LOT to learn so I wouldn't presume to tell you one way or another. I will say these 2 things though:

1. YOU think they are pretty. What else matters? SQ/BQ/mutt - it doesn't matter if YOU enjoy them. Some of my favorites have been beautiful, will-never-happen-again mutts, including a spectacular blue-laced red EE at one point. SQ? NO. Gorgeous, YES!

2. They are very young. Keep them a few more months until they mature fully. It may make a big difference.

Forgot #3. Many of the experienced breeders are at Crossroads now and aren't able to post their input.
