Faverolles Thread

So who on the East Coast is going to the Poultry Congress show, in Springfield , Mass. next month?

I might go, but unless the chickens really start to blossom I will not be bringing Favs, just my Sebastapols... I am predicting they will look great about 3 weeks after the big show

Wow, those are really nice birds. I'm so surprised more people aren't working on this variety....

they were lovely but I only had a reverse trio to work with and the dark salmon pullet I put with them, I was sad to let them go but I felt I needed to focus on the Salmons. I tried to find someone who was interested in buying them but had no takers so I wound up selling them w/ some culls for layers and a yard art roo

this shows the strange lacing the mahogany roo had instead of a solid black pattern, I was unsure where to progress from here with them, since it was both attractive and incorrect.

off topic but I had to sneak them in, this is my sebbie trio

Great information,,,,,,,, I think? somewhere in this thread there is a picture of your BBred Roo????? Maybe will take a day soon and go thru the thread again and document out of ordinary pictures so we can find to share. My boy still has the black but all the cream/white areas are a bright red-orange......You really have me curious now.....red instead of black would be awesome...
Are any of this bird line still around???

I believe Jackie Stasavich (spelling?????) still has them.

Anyone have any SQ Bantam Faverolles chicks or eggs we could buy to show in August for 4H and Illinois State Fair?

This will probably be my daughters last year showing before she graduates HS and I wanted to purchase some show quality for her this year. She's just shown our layers and some pet Silkies we've had the past two years in addition to her Waterfowl. She's done well with her Waterfowl and really likes the Faverolles breed. They need to be hatched after Dec 1 of 2012 and we need possession by June 1st. We are in Central Illinois and I know there is a show near us in May.

Thanks!
