Moved our 3 month old Salmon bantam's into their new digs. My daughter Melissa is very excited to show these beautiful birds.

changing how I water the flock, purchased the nipples from Amazon for a dollar each.
I have 3 five gallon pails, and for my smaller breeding coop a 2 gallon pail with just 2 nipples. I will still use my five gallon tray waters for my free ranging birds when they are outside, the nipple waters will be inside the coops.

Update on the new waters: They work great! I have them in 3 coops now, and are much better than the open waters I have used for years, the birds (even very young) learn how to use them within minutes.

I really dislike when chicken sellers sell their birds using the words "pure breed". I was just on ebay and I saw this ad for faverolles eggs and they're listed as "pure breed salmon faverolles". The hens all look like they all came from a hatchery because one of them is almost black. Sure, they may be pure bred but they are not quality bred ugh just felt like i had to share this...
