Faverolles Thread

Well as of this morning i am no longer a member of the faverolles group. Mine was lethargic for the last 4-5 days and this morning she was dead in the coop. Sucks too she was growing so fast.
Am so sorry, i have lost some also, i'm guessing coxi too or unseen competition at the feeders….(why its good to pick-up/feel your birds). I have lost more to intimidation, even prized roos because of an overbearing hen or them giving up when pushed out.

Please don't go away, Your a member of this thread with or without :) Spring is around the corner…..

Just got these today. Always liked Faverolles and couldn't pass on them. New to the breed, do they look proper? Also how's the quality of these if u can tell

They look like a typical young pair. As for quality, you will have to wait a few more months

Had to share the love of my chicken life...lol... meet Tilt. He is a 6 month roo... he hasnt started crowing yet and is such a sissy. He gets chased by the younger bantam roo. Its so sad. I have to pick him up and hold him till the other roo is gone..
I LOVE this breed. The triplet hens we have love people and run to you to be picked up when they get scared. Its too cute.

I haven't updated on Dizzy lately, mostly because she is doing great and partially because I'm lazy. She is 7 weeks old now and her and her brooder mates have moved outside with my 3 teenager chicks. Her eye has completely hazed over and the swelling has receded a bit. She is a feisty little thing that can hold her own. My teenagers that she is living with are 20 weeks and younger. They get along just fine. An occasional peck here and there but nothing that worries me. Anywho, here's a pic from a couple days ago. :) and she better be a girl! She's getting dark coloring. Please tell me what you think as far as sex goes. I bought her as female.

Glad to hear she is doing well! No worries, she is certainly a pullet.
