Hello, it's been lovely looking at all your Fav pics

I bought my first Faverolles last Autumn at a local Beast Market

I chose a young bantam trio and wish I had got the full size trio as well!
My cockerel, Neville has only just got his opportunity with the ladies because my Maran cockerel was boss and he has recently moved on to pastures new (to a lovely home, not the cooking pot). I have 4 FaverolleXMaran chicks who are just over a month old (at least I think they are Xbreeds since none of them have 5 toes) but they are all showing the salmon hen colouring with the odd black tail feather.

Can I just ask if any of your Faverolle hens lay green eggs? I have two hens that I bought from a breeder who was exhibiting at a French animal market: one lays apricot colored eggs and the other lays a light minty green egg.
This is the green layer

I'll add pics of the eggs tomorow if needed.

No mine only lay a light tan egg, are you sure she is not an EE, that is colored like a fav. She sure is pretty but I would think she is not a full bred Fav. Her comb from this angle also looks like an EE comb not like Alma's straight comb. Hmmm. Somebody else will come and tell you for sure cause I am far from being an expert.

I'm sorry, I have no idea what an EE is? or indeed if they are available in France?
I do wonder if there is Aracuna (sp?) in her background though. She has 5 toes if that helps.
