Thanks everyone for the well wishes on my new babies. It'll take forever for the 2ish days that it'll take the eggs to get here

I just candled my eggs I got from Dick...out of 16, I only had to toss 2!!!

One was clear, one was an early quitter (1 from each pen). I gave two of the eggs to my broody cochin (the chicks are due the 3rd, and she has to play "showmanship bird" on the 12th, so perfect timing!!) I only gave her 2 because she's never done this before and I didn't want to risk too many!!

I know!! I was so excited that so many were developing I had to be EXTRA careful not to drop any!! LOL

Hopefully Dick will post some pictures when he has the time to upload them. I am not very good at giving instructions so we will see ha ha. Hopefully I will get up to visit with Dick and pick up a salmon male and drop of a lavender D'uccles cockerel and possibly some black bantam chicks if the hen is laying when I get her next week. Does anyone want any D'anvers chicks? I have a few that I hatched and now I don't want them they are going to be STUNNING!!! They are hatched from BoggyBottomBantams one blue cuckoo cockerel, one mottled cockerel, one quail pullet, and two black pullets. Just PM me if you do they are about a month old now. Hopefully I will have the splash pullets and black pair safe and sounds next week

I am so excited I will certainly be posting pictures. I just love going out every day and having my four little salmon hens greeting me each morning. Especially the little broody hissing at me. I couldn't be happier that I chose to only keep faverolles and sold the other breed I was planning to also keep as chicks.

Hello,

I have 2 Bantam Blue Salmon Faverolle roosters that are going to need homes. I can't keep them in Portland.
They are 5 weeks old. They are not show quality since their parents' coloring isn't the ideal standard for the breed,
but they look to me like they will be quite handsome. The pictures don't do
them justice. They come from a Faverolle trio at Pistils. So, if anyone isn't too far, please let me know
if you're interested or have any questions.
Thank you,
Dawn
