The 4th chick is zipping so hopefully it makes it! I am going to give humidity another bump in a little the egg is wrapped in a damp towel.

Thanks peter! I will be sure to use that when I am hatching from the different pens I plan to set up this spring.

The 4th chick hatched so thats actually not a bad hatch at all 4/5. It is healthy just needed some humidity in the bator I guess. Looks to be another blue or black!

Turned out to be a good hatch after all! I'll set the eggs you brought up when I get home. I wanted to do it yesterday but ran out of time. As it was I stayed up til 1 am this morning getting some things done before going away, then up at 4 to finish getting ready.

I may set up this batch in the basement where it won't be so hot. This coming week doesn't look nice at all.

I posted in the BSA section, but I NEED some more LF white females. I don't care about age (as long as they're still laying, lol) or if there is some salmon bleed through, but I'd like maybe 2 or 3. I THOUGHT I had a pullet from Melissa's eggs that I hatched, but SHE has turned out to be a HE, so I now have THREE cockerels and only ONE pullet!

I have a couple of salmon pullets from Melissa that could be carrying the recessive white, so if all else fails, I'll breed them to the white cockerels and start from scratch...
Thanks!!

Anyone on this discussion selling hatching eggs or chicks in LF Favorelles? I have St. Salmon Favorelles. I posted before on the "WTB" area, and no one replied. I could really use some pullets!!! I currently have 1 hen that is laying now, and 2 gorgeous roos. I just separated them from my free range flock, so will be afew weeks before i can incubate any of her eggs. I could use some outcrosses though!
