They are far enough out that you could call them mine.

Ok good stuff

someone should really get these all of my BBS birds are from Leisha or hatched from birds I got from Leisha so they are really good quality birds! I would buy them if I wasn't going to college now.

Okay guys-n-gals, NO...none of my stock is from ANY of you. I worked almost 2yrs to get my blacks, so they are MY LINE, if you know what I mean

I seem to find more gold feathers in my hens rather than roos, and I DO HAVE a black roo coming up, but his beard is not what I like so far. It's "lacking" so-to-speak, BUT I hope with my gals I can improve that and get a fuller beard. Here's a pic of my 5mo old blue and salmon roos and one of my salmon/splash pullet-hens. LOTS of work here to still be done, so please be kind when torturing me with criticisims

Please keep in mind these are YOUNG BIRDS!

Could be worse. I have around 45 cockerels growing out along with the 6 resident roos, mostly LF. Plus a couple of tom turkeys who just figured out how to gobble.

Hey at least I told her about the new rooster coming in the mail also ha ha. I was forbidden to have a rooster unless it was an accident for a long time. Finally last summer around this time my parents went out of town for the weekend and I drove and picked up a trio of ameraucana without teliing them ha ha and that's how this started then I got some favs and fell in love and then got more and more favs finally decided I didn't want to work with salmon and blue salmon and this is how I got to my little flock of BBS that my parents have agreed to care for until I can take them up to school or they get tired of them.

I used to breed exotic finches they took up a whole room in our house I just remind them of that. My parents are very understanding people but I agree with Misty and Leisha they probably would kill me ha ha

Thanks Henry but honestly, they lack everything I look for in a Faverolles Bird. No Beards, lacking foot feathering, ect...Not to mention their BUMBZ!!!

Ya but you started off from square 1 we are working with birds from established lines. I do see the beard problem but at least they have beards! Your foot feathering isn't terrible faverolles foot feathering isn't supposed to look like cochins. ha ha their bumbs whats wrong I can't see their bumbs in the pictures. They look like they are big soft feathered girls which is a good thing. 2 years isn't long at all to perfect type and I think you have made great progress for only 2 years. Dick said that it would take at least 6 years for us to get our lavenders back to type after out crossing! Oh and I will get you that quality rooster ASAP for real we will see what I have out there at thanksgiving and I will stick one in a box and send it should be to much $$ for shipping as they are still young.
