Thats amazing that it looks like you might already have a male that is marked like and ermine and has a beard.

There's a pullet in there like him too. She does not have a beard but she has 5 toes on each foot, and they aren't that bad either.

I have a pullet in the next group with a nice beard and 5 toes like them too.

Heck Misty 2 months in my program is a long time I have owned these BBS birds since early summer! I totally see where your coming from I am just repeating Dick's advice. I think its funny I am so impatient about a lot of things but I am very patient about birds but Dick has basically verbally beaten that into me ha ha.

You've done a lot of work! Don't put yourself down. One thing you have done that no one else has is to add new blood. You also introduced lavender long before anyone else even thought of it.

As for my semi-ermine looking cockerel, he's a result of pure luck. I wasn't supposed to get him (and the others like him). All the chicks were supposed to be black.

Sometimes you never know what you are going to get. Just like the splashes that Henry now owns.

So true. Who would have thought you'd get yellow chicks from a lavender x black breeding? And they'd be sexable just like the salmons?
