I have 15 LF Salmon Faverolles incubating right now with 11 more days to go. Looks like the Faverolles hatching season is getting in high gear now.

Well, I'll give you about one week and then I'll start pestering you for pics of the first batch. I am very curious to see how they develop. I have some interesting little chickies in my brooder right now too, as a matter of fact. I am going to have a photo shoot tomorrow so I can post some pics. You'll never guess what they are but I'll give you a hint . . . they are an extremely rare breed of chicken . . . so new in fact that they don't even have a name yet, but I'm thinking they should be called . . . Merlins.

Of course they hatched - all five of the little wild things that made it here popped out of their shells like popcorn popping - even the one with a cracked shell!

They are quite cute little rascals too. My daughter is going to help me get some pics tomorrow. She has stolen them from me and says they are her flock of "wild yardbirds".

Wow Peter those are big healthy looking chicks congratulations on the first lavender Faverolles. Hopefully Dick isn't to far behind you and he will have some on the ground soon if he doesn't have them hatching already.

Henry
