Do you REALLY want to know what I think?? LOL I THINK you need to separate them out with a black male and get to work on that!! I have no idea where that would've come from, but I think you've really got something there that's at least worth doing some test breeding on to see what comes of it. Maybe the offspring will just be a mess, and it won't be worth sticking with, but if they were mine I would at least have to try....

chocolate. u people need to stop on these colors. whats next from unknown origin dun? are we trying to be the wyandottes?
pretty as usual from u Misty.

HI, Your Funny Peter.....Chocolate has always been a pretty color regardless of breed...these look consistant for color and body type???....My first question was what a male looks like but i guess ya gotta have one hatch first...VBG... I would be anxious to see that....Not knowing Your color history....Anything with potential off coloration in its background that may have diluted the black???? Hatchery something??? My first LF Favs. were from 2 hatcheries and they had real nice color....The last ones from 3 different places were all smudgy and lots of brown tones.....2 are almost as dark as the Mahogany Fav. chicks i finally found. i have one girl med. red brown, 3 boyz ranging from lite to one with black streaks but they are not grown yet. Dont know what to compare them to. My Bantams & one LF girl are from breeders,,,all others are hatchery sports. Someday i'll get some pics up too.....I really enjoy everyone elses....
Long story short, Why not.....eliz

Hello All, the vet just called with the test results from the poultry testing station in Puyallup, Wa. and the loss of some of my precious bantams was a bacterial infection. Nothing infectious to the rest of the poultry..... I am sad for those that i cannot replace but can now be happy to be able to move forward....

....That also means my poor babies in the barn can come out and play in the big pen and begin weather hardening before it starts getting cold again.
