Faverolles Thread

Thank you very much everyone. There's a few others but they look about the same.
Dick, I suspect you have more of the Arthur bred birds than I do. 1 male 6 females down here. The pullets further up would be from that breeding along with Marcel. Look similar?
N we all need to see pics of birds from you. How's lav, blk, blu. wht, green, hot fudge sundae and everyday ordinary salmon birds? -)

I know. I need to get some pictures up. Just lost one of my biggest males yesterday. I went in to feed and he was down. I will be moving my males around this weekend. I have two pens with your birds. One is my male with two of your hens and one with two of your males with five of my hens. Hopefully I can take some pics this weekend.

Hi peeps!

I am a newbie here - we just got a couple chicks from our feed store. Problem is, I am SMITTEN over the salmon faverolles and they did not have any.

I live in South Jersey, Salem county which puts me 20 minutes from Philly, 1.5 hrs to Baltimore, Md and 2.5 hrs to NYC.

Can you kind folks point me in the right direction for a salmon faverolle chick?? I am willing to drive. If it helps, I have a trip to Leesburgh, Virginia over Mothers Day weekend or the FInger Lakes end of July.

However, I'm dying for that chick NOW :)

Thanks tons!!
my email is [email protected] I don't frequent the board as I used to because the site slows my computer down. I posted this on FB as well.

Many thanks again!
Julie

I have got to give a shout out to PiperOmar! I ordered some Salmon Faverolle eggs. They arrived today (less than 24 hours after they were shipped). The packing was absolutely THE BEST I've ever seen. Instead of the typical scotch tape, each egg was carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and taped with blue painter tape. PERFECT! I didn't have to worry about possibly cracking the eggs removing the tape. What a great idea!

I've been waiting for this breed and was thrilled to have gotten so many eggs!

Yep, Laurel is awesome!!!

LOL my comment appears out of context! I'd been responding to a fascinatingly colored Fav hen photo - not sure how my comment ended up all by itself like this - Sorry everyone! (She is exquisite! Love her - pls make more!) refers to the gorgeous little hen.

Cloverleaf, i got an idea for the shirts if you were planning on using the patch on either the front or back on something like a T-shirt. maybe you could put something like 'Got Faverolles Chickens?' on one side, on the opposite side you could put the logo and under the logo 'Better Get Some!' just something quirky that might just help to get them noticed at shows!
