Faverolles Thread

[Cloverleaf Farm]

Well, as of yesterday, I have one Faverolle Hen...... according to chicken math anyway.

Butterscotch laid her first egg:

I was in our woodshop today looking for something or other. I turned to walk out and there is a fluffed up faverolle standing at my feet. She took a step to the side and out fell 10 baby chicks.



She also decided to being a wicked moult while she was MIA. Most of the babies seem to be hers- feathered legs, extra toes, big beards and single combs, but the colors range from blue copper to wheaten. Crazy girl.

i hatched out 3 more chicks today witch brings me to about 15 i have hatched from my pair so far this year...

I'm glad your hen is no longer AWOL. It was kind of her to bring you souvenirs from her vacation!

I just found this thread!
I got a LF Fav pair and some eggs that go on lockdown today, from Cloverleaf.
I love my two 11 weeks olds! So I am excited to see what hatches.
Hoping to have a quad, or at the very least, a trio when all is said and done.
Love having threads for specific breeds!

Yes, Cloverleaf has some amazing birds! I've had the good fortune to see them in person when she took in some extra roos for me to pass along to their permenant home. She's wonderful ^_^.
