Well, if I had to have a sickness, this is a good one! Wow! That's quite a collection of eye candyThis whole Fav thing is a sickness, I tell you!! LOL We started about 4 years ago with a pair of hatchery LF Salmon Favs (which we still have, my son can't bear to part with them - yes, I have a whole extra pen for hatchery birds that I do not breed, good grief!)
We now have large fowl in Salmon, and starting lines of buff and blue / black.
We also have bantams in salmon, blue salmon, black, blue, splash, buff, my son is working on partridge, and we are getting whites soon.
Yeah, he was a special boy...I'm so sorry to hear about Henry - I have three of his boys, they're about 5 weeks old....
Quote: LOL That's good that he's enjoying them, because we really need more people working with them.It has taken my DH 4 years to give in and now he can actually tell someone what breed they are, and pretend to care when I show him new babies! LOL![]()
Henry's boys are all very friendly....recently if I hold my hand down to them, they run around to face my hand and stand up real tall, waiting for me to rub their little chestsThey are sooo cute! The 2 little pullets I got from Laurel are also Henry's, very cute, nice color coming in - one is a little shy, the other is like the boys and likes a good chest rub!![]()
Yep...that's how it starts....DBF can't say the breed name, he calls them "foo-fa-rahs"But - he can point them out to me! It's a good start, I have to be patient, he's come a long way:![]()
LOL
I would love to set up a special area just for these birds. They really are my favorites....
