I have two of the Salmon cockerels of Merlin breeding. This one I think I am keeping:

This one I am not sure of yet:
Nice boys. I like the top ones color better to. Can't wait to start seeing boys from this hatch at full size. I think most of ours are still maturing and filling in.

Here are my 2 Merlin boys...again, bad cell phone pics...

This first one is darker, and smaller than the other one, I was surprised how much lighter he was when I handled him though.... :(

And the bigger / heavier boy, also lighter in color, and more points to his comb...

I didn't get any decent pics of the pullet, because one of the dogs ran up right then and freaked her out. She did start laying today though.

That top boy does look lanky/ not filled out compared to the other one. That is awesome your pullet started to lay! Can't wait to see her when you get a chance to snap pictures. Hope that top boy fills out. I am excited about my male that is lower with the big beard. I am hoping he is the one from the Marcel breeding. Again can't wait to see the males when they have their color all filled in. Yours are more mature then the others and mine. How old are they?

These are a mid-March hatch.

This site is no longer working well on my old computer (my lap top broke down on me).

Yeah, it is a real memory hog. I don't know what causes it. I haven't found any other web site that is even close. TOTALLY unusable on the PowerPC Mac with 500M memory. The home page doesn't even load properly. That one can't do video very well, but still better than BYC. Barely, and I mean BARELY useable on the one with 750M. I can do it for a short time before the fan is working overtime and things are so slow I can't take it any more. Works fine on the work laptop with 8Gig. Of course, that means I have to bring it home anytime I think I may have time to surf BYC.

Sorry it took me so long! I wasn't at home where my calender is! She is 24 weeks. So another 12 weeks for you, give or take.

Thanks, that is in the range I was originally expecting (5 to 6 months) so November or December. Then I started reading the "19 and a half weeks and no eggs yet" thread with people talking about having eggs as early as 16 weeks! Maybe a bunch will work together and give us an anniversary present on Dec 1st

Hey Bruce. Good to see a fellow Fav Fancier in VT. I am in Burlington. But will hopefully be moving out of the city this spring and I am getting set up with winter with 6 pullets to breed to my cockerels. So let me know if you want some chicks or eggs this spring as I may have some.
