Favor’s First Hatch-Along!!

Hello all!!

I thought it would be fun to make a hatch-a-long about my Muscovy hen, Favor. This is her first time hatching eggs!! Sadly her original set of eggs (the ones she laid) were not fertile! So… I gave her 8 pure Ancona eggs!!! There is a small chance of one egg being from my Mallard Indian Runner mix or my Ancona Indian Runner mix, but we will find out soon enough!!!!This will be my first time with Ancona ducklings, which, in my opinion, will make this even more exciting!!!!! They are due to hatch March 1- 2!!!!

Y’all are more then welcome to join in! You can share what you are hatching, pictures of your ducks/ducklings, etc.!!!

If she hasn't taken a break between broody spells, have a Plan 'B' in mind. There is the possibility that she may break broodiness.

Ok, thank you!! She comes out once a day to get water and food, other then that, she is very devoted to hatching these eggs!!!

They are doing great!! Unfortunately, one cracked because of how cold it was, one wasn’t fertile, and when I was gone someone let the dogs in the yard, and they got two of the eggs! So now only 4 are left, but going strong!
