Why do arecanas have blue/green legs?

They just do. somewhere in the Breeding some green legs come in.

Okay. Here is what I think...

I love photo #1. I think it shows a very nice bird, but the lighting is not the greatest. Perhaps you could lighten it a little with photobucket editor?

Photo #2 is very blurry, though it is a beautiful bird.

Photo #3 shows a very pretty blue bird, with a seemingly expressive face that gives her personality. I like it.

Photo #4 I am not partial to because in my opinion the lighting is not very good, and does not show off the bird well.

Photo #5 sows the pencilling on the bird well, and I like it a lot.

Sooooo... I guess if I had to choose, I would pick photo #1. I just thought I would tell you why.

Pure bred Ameraucanas don't have green legs, they have slate colored legs. Hatchery mixed Ameraucanas have the green legs.

I vote for #3, I'm partial to blues.
