Thrilled to see someone else who knows the difference between Cowboy music and Country music (from the Blues Brothers movie: "Yeah, we have Country AND Western music here.")
Sons of the Pioneers, Riders in the Sky (Oh! Ranger Doug, wowza!), Gene Autry, all that stuff is great
BUT
there's also a mess of great stuff from 1958-1964 (just before the British Invasion) that is totally great like the Rockyfellas, the Jaynettes, the Ronettes, the "whatever"ettes etc.
AND
the Blues: Charlie Patton, Lightnin Hopkins, Screaming Jay Hawkins, John Lee Hooker, etc for another 3 pages
ALSO
Rock N' Roll baby!!
PLUS
lots of world music that just gets inside my ear and never comes out again...
Wonder what the chickens would like to listen to?
I play Segovia in my math classroom, to tame the little hearts and calm them down a bit so they learn math. I'll just have to experiment!
But I think I'll keep Rammstein to myself; may interfere with the egg production when it starts in July...
