Wyandottes are my present breed. I have had French Copper Marans and German Bierfielders (?). The Copper Marans like to roam all over the property and everyone else's. The Beilfielders are tall and take time to develop.
So far my Wy's are good. A little slower to develop to maturity. They were chicks first week in April. Just now laying better. Beautiful colors on the body.

Brahmas. They are such beautiful breeds! Brahma chickens lay about 150-200 large, light brown eggs per year, and have a typical lifespan of 5 to 8 years with proper care. This is Dandelion, a 1 year old Buff Brahma hen.

I was literally about to type the same thing. I’m way too breed-picky for the “world is your oyster” lifestyle—but if it were? I would absolutely love to see the hatchery shopping cart.

My recurring problem is always: “Sorry, we’re sold out—what would you like instead?” Mhelk.
