Favorite chicks always have the most problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course, it has to be my favorite silkie that get the pasty butt and is always tired!!!!!!!! Why does it always has to be my favorite???!!!

I think that she will survive because I am always with her doing some thing for her. She is getting better but I am sick of how our favorite chick always seems to be the one with problems!! Does this happen to you???

yep I agree even my daughters favorite chick didn't make it today... She passed on not sure what happened there... But I agree it always seems to be a favored one..I hope she gets better soon..

SOO SORRY!! to both of you. i feel ya. my family thought we'd try chickens this year so we got two chicks and mine, a dark brahma named Fuzz Butt, passed away on march 6, less than a week old. and then i got another chick that day, a buff orpington named Callie, and she got really really sick last week! i have no idea what was wrong with her. i was sobbing uncontrollably all of sunday, worried that she wouldnt make it. luckily and miraculously, she did get better and is in perfect health now, but i dont understand why its always the favorites! none of the other 3 chicks are as loved as Callie is. that girl is so spoiled..

Recently, two of the favored chicks died.

And the other two turned out to be roosters....
so far only two pullets have managed to make the favored position and live.
Thankfully they are still with us.
