Favorite Chicks to Raise?

I have only raised Buf Orp, Jersey Giant, Sex link, and white Rock and would pick the white rock as my fav. She is the sweetest and friendliest so far.

I have so far only hatched my barred rock / dominique mix but they are so adorable and playful. My girls love playing with them.
Hope the others I choose to hatch are just as playful and friendly.

My buff orpingtons are extremely nice, but on the shy side at first. Once you pick them up, they REFUSE to get off your lap, and will even take a nap! My barred rocks have never been shy, they are the first to jump onto my lap, perch on my arms and shoulders, though they are a bit mean and peck me lol. As for my easter eggers, they are all quite shy when it comes to handling, but they stay close to my feet. Except for one (my favorite) she literally follows me around and is always curious as to what i'm doing, she's not afraid to get my attention if she thinks I have some treats. :]

Pekin Bantams every time! Perfect size with little feathery feet, wonderful temperments and come in a variety of colours!

I am head over heels in love with Silkies. They have so much personality and are really sweet - very good Mommys and so cute with all those feathers! Plus, once they finish growing, they're slow enough for me to catch! ;)

My Plymouth Rocks, my Buff Orpington and Silver Wyandotte were all sweethearts. I have two baby easter eggers and two baby brahmas. The easter eggers will run up to my hands when I stick them down into the brooder cage. They are pretty sweet. The brahmas are coming around, I got them from a local hatchery, one has some very interesting coloring.

The easter eggers are the only two of six that survived after a very long trip thru the mail from MPC. I think you have a much better chance of getting them to be freindly when you raise them yourself in a brooder. I should make a video of them eating some small mealworms. Its so funny everybody has their own mealworm but their all running around like crazy with the worms in their beaks because they think someone else is going to steal it. Its hilarious.
