Please post photos of the babies!Hello! Just decided on some welsh harlequin runner duck cross ducklings nearby. Thanks for all the help!
I definitely will! They'll be hatching sometime this march so I'll post the pictures once I get them. Please post photos of the babies!
aww those are really cute pictures, thanks for sharing!my 3 favs (because i have them) are pekin, rouen, and khaki campbell![]()
That's so cool that you have so many ducks! Someday I'd like another mallard since it's so interesting to see the difference in behavior between wildish ducks and domestic ducks. Thanks for sharing!I really like my skittish mallards so far, haha. May not fit your needs, but I've grown attached to mine. I've been getting a variety from rural king and tractor supply over the past month or so. I have:
1 blue swedish1 random gray unidentified4 fawn and white runners5 mallards2 magpies1 brown one - guessing khaki campbell1 silverish/brownish/tan unidentified one - guessing golden 300 hybrid1 crested pekin or white layer1 regular pekin
The oldest are about a month or so old.
I've remarked multiple times that the mallards have survival instincts unlike the others which I really like to see. And while they are still skittish around me, they are fearless otherwise and really fun to watch. That being said, I'm attached to them all for various reasons![]()
I concur with this!Welsh Harlequins! Quite friendly, will eat slugs, and they lay tons of eggs! Plus they're really pretty![]()
