Favorite poultry breeds

My wife would have to say the Golden Sebright Bantam because she says it reminds her of a Monarch butterfly. Very pretty as is the Silver Sebright.

When we bought chicks at TSC there was so much trouble.. we ended up with 3 roos when all were supposed to be hens and they were also supposed to be Brown Leghorns and turned out to be Partridge Rocks.. our first chickens we got from Weldon Equipment which is a local store here. we got the Gold Links and Barred Rocks there.

One of my Barred Rock "Pullets" turned out to be a cockerel but we didn't mind. 2 of the Runner ducks we purchased turned out to be Pekins. The rest seem to be fine.

Sure as long as the tsc where u live knows what they are talking about.

He's right. I do think, so far, the golden sebright is the prettiest chicken. However my favorite poultry breed is ducks, period. They are so much fun. I can watch them for hours playing in the rain or swimming.
