I love it when they sit in my lap.

Aw pretty chicken! I can't get mine to sit on my lap unless I have treats for them.

I used to have such a sweet little hen who I used to rock to sleep (she used to start snoring and everything! :L) and who used to chase me down the garden when I left, I would turn round and she would start scratching around in the dirt, and then would chase me when I turned around again. When I first got her she would come and hide behind me whenever the other chickens picked on her!

It when they do a group dust bath an there is chicken body parts everywhere but they don't make sense like this

My favorite thing: Every night While watering the garden I let my chickens and ducks out to free range, They all follow me up in a line to the garden and eat bugs my kids throw out to them and then when i say "ok girls time to load up" they all go running to their coop and load up. I never thought chickens actually listened or understood anything but egg laying and eating but as I am learning i am realizing that my chickens and ducks are pretty smart. I feel like a big momma hen when they all follow me in a line!

I have a little group of chicks, 7 one-month old welsummers and their adopted mommy, a 3-month-old easter egger. I absolutely love watching them. They go everywhere in the yard together, do everything together. Then if one chick somehow gets lost, they'll cheep really loud to find it, and it will cheep loudly to be found. Then the whole group runs wildly together so everyone is reunited.
I have many other chickens, one none are as united as this little group.
