The Alan Parsons Project is my go to music. I have all the albums. I like soft rock and mellow music from the 70's and 80's. Supertramp, Carpenters, Dire Straits, Eagles, Basia, Chris Isaak, Dan Fogelberg (I think I am dating myself? ). And some more lively stuff like ELO, Three Dog Night, Cars and Steve Miller Band, Phil Collins

I like classical (not the whiny violin stuff) and instrumental band music (probably because I play in one). Folk music, and Relaxation music with nature sounds (Solitudes, Dan Gibson, Hennie Bekker)

I will also listen to songs with a good tune, and a good message in words that are understandable.

I can not do head-banger, opera, screaming and most rap.

Where Rock and Blues collide - Rory Gallagher - who Jimi Hendrix described as the best guitarist in the world.
This was when I had just seen him live 3 times in about 5 years. The first in Frankfurt, Germany and twice in my hometown.

It is very difficult to pick a favorite Rory performance. Whether it is old school blues on the acoustic or monster shredding on his weathered Stratocaster. They don't make them like him any more.
