Favourite breeds discussion

I like them all, too. I have 11 different breeds at present, but only 1-2 of each, so I'm not an expert in any one breed. I'd say so far, Plymouth Rock and Brahmas are both great as far as temperament and hardiness. I love Silkies for their goofiness. And of my latest additions, my Naked Neck is showing tremendous promise.

Most people I know love their Easter Eggers. I oddly don't have any yet....

What about yours????

What’s everyone’s favourite breeds? I like them all (well the ones I know of) and want to hear what y’all like. So please reply your favourite breeds :D
Honestly if I had to pick a favorite I wouldn't be able to. I am in love with every chicken there is is, even the ones I don't have. 😂 And don't forget the mutts, who are possibly the world's best chickens! 🤣

I love my Sulmtaler. For me the perfect breed. I like the looks, that just 2-4 weeks after the hatch I can tell if they are male or female. I get eggs and great tasting meat... and they have a nice personality. Of course everyone has different likes. And they are looking for different things in chickens. eggs, meat, pet...

I agree with all of what you said and I’m getting Brahmas in... 2 weeks I think and from what I’ve read, they seem good.
I had 2 Easter Eggers and they always escaped! But they do make great layers 😄

Ooh me hmm. I happen to like all the chicken breeds I know of even the ones I don’t own but I must say I do like Wyandotte’s ass well you can tell by my name.. :p
