Favus?? on rooster comb, please help!

I'm thinking my rooster has favus. What do y'all think? He had a nasty fight with the other rooster. I separated him into his own cage and applied neosporin. Within about 2 weeks this is what he looked like. See pic below.

Any suggestions on what this is and any suggestions on a treatment if it is Favus? Thanks for the time and help.

speckledhen has dealt with Favus in the past, but I'm not sure whether it looks like that. The fact that you applied Neosporin before this started makes me wonder if there isn't a link to that med somehow.

You might PM her and ask her to take a look at this pic if you don't want to see a vet. Maybe this is an early stage of the fungus.
