Hi all, been trying a few things. My boy, Ajax has been sick, withdrawn, not eating. Took him to vet for blood and fecal, everything clear there. Part of his presentation showed his head fathers were spikey, which indicates he is sick, or in pain. And he has a “downward facing dog” posture.

Yesterday, as I was tube feeding him, I noticed a lump with a white cap. The lump is a little smaller, than a dime, firm, and 1/8 - 1/4” thick. Thinking it’s an infection, I sent a swab for Pcr test to RAL, and out some antibiotic ointment on it. However, this morning, I did a Google lens on the photos, which led me to a thread here in byc indicating it may be Favus. And I’m going to put some monistat on it.

Questions:
  1. What do you think it is?
  2. What treatment would you use?
  3. I have Baytril 10mg per pill, if I have to us that, I see the dose Wouk be 1 pill per pound and he’s a little over 1.5#
  4. I also have doxy-Tylan. Which is 20mg doxycycline and 5mg Tylan
    1. Which antibiotic would be best if this is bacterial?
    2. What would be the dose for a 1.6# bird?
