Favus suspected, thoughts?

Hi All!

It never fails, but I go on vacation and come back to one of my hens faces like this! Poor baby, looks so uncomfortable! I washed her face with just soap and water yesterday and started Miconazole cream, but wanted to confirm my thoughts and google research. Do we agree favoring Favus? I have never actually had a hen with it, but I suspect that’s what’s going on. The rest of the flock looks good and no evidence of any issues.

I think it might be a mite issue. Is a vet visit for a scrape test an option?

I would agree with her skin probably being a fungal infection. Miconazole cream daily would be a good treatment.
