I bought a batch of chicks from TSC, thinking they were Campine, but then they turned out to be Buttercups. (And I love them!) A week after I bought the 1st batch of "Campine" I bought a few more from another shipment, thinking that maybe I'd end up with some silver and some gold (at this point still thinking the first batch was Campine also.) These I've been "sure" are Silver Campine, but I'm questioning now if maybe they are Fayoumis instead. The barring is not very distinct. They were very much avoiding me till I bribed them with meal morms, and now I can pet them while I give them treats. They are 5 weeks old now, and I've been able to tell the pullet from the roo since they were 2 to 3 weeks old! The roo's comb grew sooo fast and got so red so early. The color in the pictures isn't as bright as it is in person... his comb is bright red. I'm so glad that I have them, whatever they are. Do any of you know what breed?
