The agents - Schafer did most of the talking - said they had a right to be there because "you produce food for human consumption." Dan asked why they believed that and they said, "Well, you have cows. You cannot be consuming all the milk you produce." They further stated, "If you get a milk truck in to move all this milk you sell milk to the public, therefore we have jurisdiction."

What have the Amish done to ask for this?
I think someone called in the FDA for some bogus reason and they are running with it.
"You cannot be consuming all the milk you produce" What a crock.
Milk goes to calves, making butter, cooking food, drinking and feeding other animals along with a whole bunch of other things. If they do distribute it I would imagine it stays within the community.

And this is not the first Amish farmer they have gone after. They seem to view them as easy targets.

That man is awesome!!!!!!!!!!

I was actually just starting my search for REAL raw milk. Reading this, I'll probably never get the chance, bar getting my own farm and cattle.

If we want to drink raw milk, we should have every right, without having the government trample and barge in.

Don't give up! We the People, by the people! Keep looking for real milk. You will not be disapointed.

I have a right to feed my family, to produce food without interference from the gov't. Gosh, when we were in Utah with the Air Force, my sons were fed raw whole cow's milk in their bottles--none of that crappy formula they insist is better for babies. I feel good about that, personally, and if I could get raw milk now and could afford it, I would.

ETA: Recently, a friend gave me two quarts of raw goat's milk. Wow, it was awesome!
