I have noticed that some of my older hens have problems with feather cysts when they molt.does anyone else have this too? I have a hen that can barely walk right now due to this, but I really don't want to cull her.any thoughts? Amd it is always my cochins.

Usually on the body.this time between her legs between breast amd pelvis

Feather cysts are like ingrown hair on a human, except feathers are bigger. You can remove them yourself, there will be a cheesy infection requiring antibiotics...but they will grow back eventually. Only a vet can surgically remove them, antibiotics will have to be prescribed as well. Culling might be best if they affect her quality of life as you mentioned. Sorry.
