I hatched some barnyard mix babies from my own flock. They are 7 weeks now. Dad is and EE/mix and has a green sheen on his tail and wing feathers, moms range from RIR and welsummer. My question is, if some of the babies are showing some green sheen on their feathers here and there, does that indicate a cockerel, or can then pullets get that too? This may sound like a really silly question... but I figured it didn't hurt to ask!

At 7 weeks if you attach photos we could help you with gender id if you’d
Ill need to get some updated pictures of them tomorrow. I asked at 6 weeks, early, but im so curious! I got mixed answers on that one, which was better than "too early". I wasn't about to vent sex them when they hatched!! That was my first ever hatch, so I'm a noob lol!!! I think waiting to see is difficult when you're so excited!
