Feather Color

Hi - Both of my peas (M&F) are IB split to white. The male is in his first year of growing a train and has started growing in the eye feathers, but I have noticed that some feathers look normal color but he is growing some that are void of the blue eye in the middle. It is not white - just no blue eye. Is this normal? Does it happen with the first train maybe? it just looks weird - wonder if it "means" something - lack of something nutritional maybe. thanks.
