Feather Cyst Treatment

Hi!
I have a 2 week old cochin with what appears to be a large feather follicle cyst on her upper leg. We drained quite a bit of fluid out of it earlier, and pulled a few of the pin feathers out that appeared to be part of the problem.
The area seems to be filling up with fluid again though, just within a couple hours.
Does anyone have any tips for treating these?

Make a small incision in the cyst so you can get all of the fluid out. If there are any more unerupted pin feathers, free them up. Then, using a slender syringe, squirt a good amount of saline wound wash into the cyst and let it drain out. Finish up with some topical wound treatment such as Blu-kote or antibiotic ointment.
