Feather feet & leg mites?

Hello BYC friends!

I have a 1.5 year old Maran who has some rough looking feet. A few of the feathers have been ingrown and I’ve been able to release them. But I noticed the scales closest to the feathers look raised? Is this scaly leg mites?

I’ve used coconut oil/foot soak a couple days this week but figured I’d ask here… you guys have always been so helpful! I haven’t seen SLM in person so I’m still learning!

Their run is covered and totally dry. Bedding is changed frequently.

Looks pretty normal to me. The feather shafts do cause the scales to look lifted/infested.

Looks normal to me too! I have mostly feather footers and got concerned with this as the feathers grew in initially. Just check them periodically to make sure they don’t change from this.
