FEATHER FIXER w/Mite Fighter!

Several diets now claim probiotics in their formulas, besides this one. And mites and lice live elsewhere on the chickens besides the vent area. It still just looks like marketing to me, and higher cost for no good reason. It's no doubt a nice diet. Mary

Now that you mention that...I'm tending to agree with what you said here. However, F-Fixer does have rave reviews from chicken folks who swear that it does help them cycle thru the molting season faster - so for a few weeks or months, if you have only 2 like me...it's not a bad idea.

Hopefully everyone knows you NEVER depend on one option to fend off mites! If you do, you're setting your hens up to fail!

Thanks for adding a voice to this, Folly! I've only been a Mother Hen 13 months now and need all the help I can get...lol!

My main issue with this feed is smell and appeal,
It doesn't appeal to my hens well and seemed to feel forced to eat the crap.

It has no smell really so I figure no flavor but I need this to help my cock get his plume back.

They love my game conditioner!

Got a coupon for F-Fixer a couple years ago and since the girls were molting I thought I'd give it a try. They loved it! One hen that had been partially bald for two years even grew all her feathers back. Since then I've been using it, mixing with layer feed most of the year and by itself during their molt.

The new bags of FF at TSC, and the company website, no longer have the mite control on the label. Not a big surprise! The FF is the same price for forty lbs. as the Flock Raiser at fifty lbs. It's a clear choice for me! Mary

We actually started using it after a small mite infestation we corrected. We wanted to speed up feather recovery because here in Florida we are in the peak of our mosquito season. Some of our ladies were bare skin. Some from Rooster damage. Some feather repair has been noticed but still to soon for full recovery.
Bare naked ladies.. Not the music group that does the theme song to The Big Bang Theory on tv! :lau
How well did it work with your mite problem?
