feather growth?

One of my chickens lost half of his "rat tail" i was wondering how fast it would grow back or if it will. i need it to grow back by fair which is like august so any thing would help

Were the feathers pulled out or broken off? If pulled out, they should regrow by August. If broken off, you should pull them so that they will regrow.

well their snapped in half. they do grow back though at least im pretty sure

If they are snapped in half, you need to pull them out or you will not get new feathers until the bird molts - that might not be until next fall. You also need to maintain the bird in such a way that his feathers do not become damaged again.
