Just noticed that my Cochin that's on five pea eggs has feather lice and I was wondering what you would do... I have poultry dust, but not sure that's a good idea so close to hatch.

She's been de-wormed with Safeguard and I gave her some Ivermectin just in case she had mites.

Put some Rotenone in the nest box under the straw. Should be able to get it on E-Bay. Put a pinch on her vent and a teaspoon full in any dusting holes they are using. They will dust themselves.

This needs to be cleaned up before the hatch. Momma banty can handle a little annoyance from lice, the chicks can't.

Eggs are due to hatch this Saturday (28 days), but they could hatch as early as Thursday, so I don't have time to order anything...
