Feather loss

I first noticed my barred rock hen had a totally bare butt a few days ago. Now, her tail feathers are almost all gone, she also appears to have lost wing feathers and is also missing some around her neck. Starting to look pretty pathetic! Any idea what's going on?

Is she acting OK otherwise, eating drinking etc? Do check her over carefully for mites/lice etc in case something like that is going on, and if you watch the flock, that another chicken isn't plucking or eating her feathers. Otherwise she is probably molting, this time of year it is pretty common. You should start seeing pinfeathers coming in soon.
