Feather picking/pecking problem

What can I do to help heal the chickens with missing feathers from picking/pecking? I seemed to have stopped them from doing it but a few chickens have bald spots. Will the feathers grow back and what can I do to help them heal faster?

If the feather is broken off, and not completely removed, it won't regrow till molting season. Feathers that have been completely removed will regrow within a few weeks, if given adequate protein.

OK thanks. And what can I do about slight skin irritation? Petroleum jelly?

My buff Orpington seemed to be plucked bald on her back about 4 months ago by my Roos. I got rid of them. Her feathers have still not grown back. But when it does seem like feather fuzz growing it's gone next day. She's a great layer. And seem heathy otherwise. Just semi bald.
