I can not get control of this problem! My birds have major feather loss issues. It started with one being picked on....the classic triangle of NO feathers at the base of their back, now almost all have it. Some have NONE all under their wings, the entire triangle of their back, etc. Some have even have loss on where their wings bend right on the top. Some have it all around their head. I have been on this board and tried everything. We treated for worms. We adjusted their grain. They have plenty of room, space, inside, outside, things to scratch and play with. They all came at the same time. are the same age. we have treated for lice/mites, a respiratory infection. I have applied blu-kote and a concoction that I made based on recommendations from the board from vicks and cayenne that worked well for awhile. Some are completely bare with scabs (no bleeding, but sizeable little scabs) and completely bare up their back, around their vent or under their wings by their thighs. Some have pin feathers growing back in. Some will have pin feathers for awhile and then they will go away and some are as bald in those areas as a chicken in the refridge section at the grocers. I NEED help! There is no one around here to come look at them. Can a batch of chickens just literally pick eachother for ever???? Or, is there some other thing going on? They seem healthy and lay every day (almost all of them!).
