Some wrinkle their nose at the thought, but I supplement with fish or beef once a week. Because I serve them the beef raw, (I get first dibs on the fish, so it's served to them cooked), I'm careful to treat for worms periodically; 13 years and never had wormy poop or evidence of any worms in my flock yet so must be working.It's my understanding that chickens NEED the amino acids in animal protein
